Pre-employment, Periodic & Basic health checks
Healthcare Connections can assist in the drawing up of company policies on employee medicals. For new entrants, for example, we would propose that these medicals are split into non-safety critical, eg. clerical and administration staff and safety critical staff. This will ensure that you collate the appropriate information for each specific job role. As this is also specific to the type of industry involved, we will work closely with you to establish suitable parameters in which to base each type of medical.
A complete pre-employment or periodic (for example bi-annual) medical assessment and report as appropriate, includes a drug/alcohol screen. In many business sectors a pre-employment screen is considered to be ‘the norm’. Keeping regular checks on employee health, via a periodic medical, to ensure the safety of the workforce, and the general public, is a key requirement in certain safety critical industries.
