Healthcare Connections Can Save You Money
Naturally Healthcare Connections provide a full review, referral and return to work assessment service, but we won't recommend that you use it until absolutely necessary. We will strive to manage any medical failure without the additional expense of a physician’s referral, unless it is deemed necessary. Physician referrals are booked in as a matter of course by many other occupational health providers but at Healthcare Connections, if a simple conversation with a patient’s own GP will resolve an issue, then that's what we'll do.

All of our practitioners work closely within a multi-disciplinary team to provide you with a complete, holistic approach to workforce health.
Reviews
Healthcare Connections can provide you with specific reviews for pre-identified employees with on-going conditions led by our Occupational Health Physician. Occasionally, where appropriate, our occupational health nurses may also conduct reviews for chronic conditions. The review will be tailored to the requirements of the individual and their exact role within the company. Starting with a full medical history, our OH physician will conduct an in-depth review and issue a fitness summary on the day of the review and a full report will follow on later. The summary and report will indicate whether an individual is able to continue in their normal role or what, if appropriate, modifications may need to be made to their job role or duties.
Referrals
For new conditions identified either as a result of a failed company medical or by a healthcare professional outside the company, Healthcare Connections can provide your company with a bespoke referral and assessment system. The initial referral may be instigated by either the employee's line manager or the HR department. Our own OH physician will provide a bespoke assessment based on the employee's job description or a detailed breakdown of their job role as described by the employer following completion of forms provided by us. Our OH physician will be able to specifically assess the employee based on these pre-agreed criteria and make recommendations based on the assessment of the employee. A fitness summary will be provided on the day of the referral assessment and a full report will follow.
Return to Work
Where employees have been away from work on long-term sick absence or following an operation, Healthcare Connection's OH physician can provide a full fitness to return to work assessment for individual employees. The assessment will be based on their job description, covering specific duties, and will include recommendations for their ability to continue in that role or for modifications to be made.
Our unique, multi-disciplinary approach to occupational health means that we can provide a full range of alternative services including healthcare advice, medication checking and general lifestyle information with the aim of enhancing employee wellbeing and minimising time out of the workplace.
